Whitbread Goldings Variety (W.G.V.) is very similar to other Goldings, but many of its characteristics are more robust. Its aroma is sometimes described as tobacco-like, woody, or rugged. W.G.V. provides a unique sweet fruit flavor, and will give a mild, clean bitterness to traditional ales. It is sometimes used to good effect as a distinctive dry hop. Packaged in a nitrogen-purged foil pack to ensure freshness.
